Urban Loom was born from legacy — not trend.
Behind the brand stands Aboul-Ezz Factory, a family-owned manufacturing house established in 1966, built across generations of dedication to craftsmanship, precision, and long-term vision.
For nearly six decades, the factory has grown through second and third generations, expanding its capabilities while maintaining the same commitment to quality that defined its earliest days.
Today, operations are centered in Cairo’s Obour Industrial City, where a modern production facility spans over 5,000 square meters and employs more than 600 skilled professionals.
From homewear and underwear to socks, hoodies, sweatpants, athleisure, and sportswear — every product reflects decades of technical expertise.
Urban Loom represents the natural evolution of this experience — a brand built on knowledge earned over time.
FROM YARN TO FINISHED GARMENT
True quality begins long before the final stitch.
Inside our facility, 15 circular knitting machines produce many of our fabrics in-house, allowing direct control over material strength, texture, and durability.
Since the introduction of circular knitting in 2000, new machines have been added regularly to keep production aligned with modern standards.
This vertical capability allows us to oversee the full journey of a garment:
From yarn → to fabric → to finished product.
Our facility also includes advanced printing and digital fabric printing, introduced in 2013, enabling greater flexibility and faster development.
By controlling key stages internally, we ensure:

OUR JOURNEY
1966 The foundation of Aboul-Ezz Factory was established — marking the beginning of a journey built on craftsmanship and long-term dedication.
1970s–1980s Production capabilities expanded steadily, strengthening technical expertise and building a strong foundation.
1983 The first international export marked the beginning of a global manufacturing presence.
1990s Production expanded across new garment categories, strengthening versatility and technical knowledge.
2000 Circular knitting machines were introduced, beginning in-house fabric production.
2013 Advanced printing and digital fabric printing capabilities were introduced.
2018 The newest and largest facility was launched in Cairo’s Obour Industrial City, significantly expanding capacity.
2024 Urban Loom was founded — bringing decades of manufacturing experience into a modern apparel brand.
Today Garments are exported to 22 countries across Europe, the GCC, Asia, and Africa, supported by ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
